Der Wurst Hot Dogs was started in late 2017 by Nicholas, a chef, who has had a love for hot dogs since he was a child. Breaking free from the corporate kitchen world after 20 years, Nicholas set out to create an amazing street food experience. Utilizing fresh, locally made ingredients, Nicholas is bringing a thoughtful and delicious approach to the versatile hot dog. In 2019, Der Wurst Hot Dogs was awarded The Reader’s Choice Award for Best Hot Dog by Phoenix Magazine’s Best of The Valley. In 2020, Der Wurst Hot Dogs leveled up from a hot dog cart to a brick & mortar location. With a whole kitchen at his disposal, Nicholas is bringing fun, and delicious food to the masses. Inspired by fresh local ingredients and German biergarten food, Nicholas is reinventing and elevating the humble hot dog.
